Louis J. Horvitz to Direct 72nd Annual Academy Awards®

For the fourth time in a row, Louis J. Horvitz's work will be seen live by billions of eyes as he directs the 72nd Annual Academy Awards® which will take place on March 26th, 2000.

Horvitz has received Emmy nominations for two of his three previous stints as Oscar telecast director, and in 1998 he received the Emmy for the 70th annual Academy Awards® broadcast.

"Louis J. Horvitz is a master of directing live spectacular television productions," producers Richard and Lili Zanuck said, "and his three years of experience with the Oscar show, the most spectacular of them all, will be of tremendous benefit to us for Oscar 2000."
