72nd Annual Academy Awards® to be at the Shrine

The March 2000 Academy Awards® will return to the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Center in March for the 72nd Annual Academy Awards® Presentation.

The ceremonies honoring 1999 achievements in motion pictures will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2000. The 72nd Annual Academy Awards Presentation will be broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium by the ABC Television Network, beginning at 5:30 p.m. (PST), preceded at 5 p.m. by a network pre-show.

This will mark the ninth time the Shrine will host, having previously been home to the awards in '47, '48, '88, '89, '91, '95, '97 and 1998.
