The show opens with a performance by a kimono-clad Katy Perry singing "Unconditionally."

Tonight's host, Pitbull, takes to the stage. He says imagining the audience naked helps when hosting and thanks Sofia Vergara for helping him get through it.

Taylor Swift is the night's first presenter and she's handing out the hardware for Favorite Male Artist — Pop/Rock. And the AMA goes to Justin Timberlake. It's his fourth.

From Rihanna, we go into a performance by Imagine Dragons of "Demons" and "Radioactive."

Kristen Bell and Chris Daughtry present the AMA for Country Album. And the AMA goes to Taylor Swift, for Red.

Pitbull and Ke$ha get an introduction from Naya Rivera and Maia Mitchell as they perform "Timber."

Dave Grohl and Joan Jett are presenting Alternative Rock Artist. Grohl says he hopes the award goes to "...the ones with the biggest guitars, ' cause we need big, loud guitars." And the AMA goes to Imagine Dragons.

Host Pitpull presents Favorite Latin Artist. And the AMA goes to Marc Anthony.

Heidi Klum intros a performance by Justin Timberlake of a new song, "Drink You Away."

Kelly Osbourne and Nicole Richie are presenting Pop/Rock Album. And the AMA goes to One Direction, for Take Me Home. It's their first AMA nomination and win.

The Ceremonies introduce a performance by Florida Georgia Line and Nelly of their song "Cruise."

ABC's next Bachelor, Juan Pablo Galavis and Daisy Fuentes present the New Artist Award to Ariana Grande.

Real Time's Bill Maher is in charge of presenting the Icon Award to Rihanna. Rihanna performs "Diamonds." After her performance she gets a video message from her mentor, Jay-Z, before her mother Monica Fenty presents her with the award.

Ciara and Paulina Gretzky present Soul/R&B Male. And the AMA goes to Justin Timberlake.

We head off to Miami to see a performance by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

Fall Out Boy are here to present Country Female Artist. And the AMA goes to Taylor Swift.

Jennifer Lopez pays tribute Cuban music legend Celia Cruz with a medley of her music.

Alicia Silverstone and Nathan Filion present a new category, Single of the Year. And the AMA goes to Florida Georgia Line featuring Nelly, for Cruise.

Favorite Soul/R&B Album is presented by Sarah Silverman, who jokes that the nominees are a Mickey Mouse Club star (Justin Timberlake), the son of the father from Growing Pains, and a "a strong, soulful Caribbean woman of color" (Rihanna) adding "I don't know who will win, but I do know who should find it most ironic if she loses." And the AMA goes to Justin Timberlake, for The 20/20 Experience. He jokes that growing up in Memphis, this was the first time he'd been racially-profiled by a white woman.

Jennifer Hudson, star of the upcoming Black Nativity, introduces A Great Big World featuring Christina Aguilera performing "Say Something".

We segue straight into a performance by Kendrick Lamar, who performs "Swimming Pools (Drank)" and "Poetic Justice."

Austin Mahone and Kendall Jenner present Electronic Dance Music Artist. And the AMA goes to Avicii.

Jeremy Renner intros a performance by Lady Gaga and R. Kelly of "Do What U Want."

Thor's Jaimie Alexander and the NFL's Andrew McCutchen present Country Male Artist. And the AMA goes to Luke Bryan.
