After a brief clip package, host Olivia Munn welcomes us and instead of a monologue, we get a bunch of shout outs to people in the audience. Former SNLer Jay Pharoah joins her for an awkward rap about the nominees.

Jay Pharoah presents the night’s first award, Best Comedy Movie. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to The Big Sick.

8:13 PM

Munn and her fellow former G4 host Chris Hardwicke geek out over some of the Comic Con worthy people in the audience.

Kaley Cuoco says her day job is comedy but her nights are for drama before presenting Best Actor in a Drama Series. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to Sterling K. Brown for This Is Us.

Munn announces they’re now announcing a special award, the Mother of the Year award, which she gives Allison Janney for her performance of the awful mom in I, Tonya.

Kate Bosworth and Norman Reedus are presenting Best Actress in a Drama Series. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to Elisabeth Moss for The Handmaid’s Tale.

Munn is joined by Niecy Nash to toast the good guys, like the exec who didn’t want to meet in his hotel room but in his office. The piece hits like one funny note, which always amazes me at shows.

Tituss Burgess and Allison Williams are presenting Best Actress in a Comedy Series, but not before inviting him to her parents’ place upstate, a nod to the plot of Get Out. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to Rachel Brosnahan for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. After thanking the usual people, she reminds people to go to the Times Up website.

Jamie Alexander and David Harbour are presenting Best Actor in a Comedy Series. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to Ted Danson for The Good Place. "I usually don’t approve of awards shows that pit actors against each other, but this is going great."

Jim Parsons is presenting Best Drama Series. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to The Handmaid’s Tale.

8:47 PM

They’re now presenting the #SEEHER Award, from the National Association of Advertisers, which honors a woman who smashes stereotypes. The recipient for this award is Gal Gadot. The award is presented by Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins. "I was always asked to describe my dream role and it was always a strong independent woman." She also point out that three of the previous year’s top films that were female led.

Joseph Fiennes and Diane Kruger are presenting Best Supporting Actor. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to Sam Rockwell for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

The of the Starnger Things cast are here to present Best Supporting Actress. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to Allison Janney for I, Tonya. "Laurie, Octavia, this must have been based on height."

Nick Jonas and Sarah Hyland are out next to present Best Actor in a Movie Made for TV or Limited Series. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to Ewan McGregor for Fargo. He gives a shout out to the crew members in Calgary.

Rachel Bloom and Anthony Anderson present Best Actress in a Movie Made for TV or Limited Series. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to Nicole Kidman for Big Little Lies. "I humbly accept this on behalf of all the women in my cast."

Kumail Nanjiani is out solo to present Best Limited Series. He jokes he won’t start talking until everyone sits down. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to HBO’s Big Little Lies.

Jim Gaffigan, described as the tallest and palest comic, asks for a round of applause for the critics. He’s presenting Best Comedy Series. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Elisabeth Moss, a winner tonight, is presenting Best Actor. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to Gary Oldman for Darkest Hour. "What a lovely way to meet Elisabeth Moss. I made crib notes because I was honored the other night and forgot to thank my director."

Chris Hemsworth talks about the notable year for women in film before presenting Best Actress. And the Critics’ Choice Award goes to Frances McDormand for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. She’s not there and Hemsworth jokes it’s because she’s renting three billboards on Sunset Boulevard to help win the Oscar.
