Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace Coverage

Let's face it. December 31st, 1999 is not the year's most eagerly anticipated day. Nope. If you're looking for anticipation, exhilaration, and pure old Ohmigod-I-Can't-Wait, then you have to look no further than May 19th.

Well that day is finally here and audiences have started flocking to theaters to see director George Lucas's Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. The first of three prequels to the original Star Wars trilogy, this film is being touted by some as the cinematic iceberg that will sink Titanic from its current #1 grossing film position. Some early reviews have been negative, so the coming weeks will see how the audience reacts to the new film.
