Michael Douglas to be honored by Golden Globes

Michael Douglas has been chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to receive the 2004 Cecil B. DeMille Award. The actor-producer will accept the honor at the 61st Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony, which will take place on January 25th, 2004.

Douglas, who is married to actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, has won two Golden Globes in his career. He received Best Actor (Drama) for Wall Street and as producer of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest he took home Best Picture (Drama). He has been nominated four other times: Best Actor for Wonder Boys, The American President and The War of the Roses and Best Television Actor (Drama) for The Streets of San Francisco.

Micheal is the first second-generation winner of this honor. His father, Kirk Douglas, took home the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 1968.
