Nemo reels in the bucks

Pixar’s Finding Nemo had a fantastic opening weekend, fishing $70.2 million out of the pockets of moviegoers over the weekend. Jim Carrey’s Bruce Almighty dropped to second place, taking in $37.3 million in its second week.

The Mark Wahlberg remake, The Italian Job, debuted at third this week with $19.4 million while The Matrix Reloaded was in fourth with $15.6 million. The sequel has now taken in almost $233 million in three weeks. The Eddie Murphy comedy, Daddy Day Care, rounded out the top five with a $6.7 million box office.
