Digital Hit would like to express our complete disbelief and sadness at today’s terrorist activities in the United States.

Being in Toronto, Canada’s largest city, we too have noticed an increased level of security and many office towers have closed. The airport has been shutdown, except to receive flights that were heading to the United States from overseas.

We didn’t have any Festival events to cover until later today, so we too have been watching the news. The press office of the Festival recently issued a press release about today. We thought we’d pass the info along for our readers who are in Toronto for the film festival.

While Festival screenings will continue today, they have cancelled the Q&A sessions that occur with the filmmakers and actors after the screenings. [Update 2:00pm: All screenings on September 11th have now been cancelled.] On the press side, all press events like press conferences and industry sessions have been cancelled. Furthermore the Festival issued the following message: “We are devastated by the shocking developments in the United States and extend our heartfelt support to all those affected by this incomprehensible tragedy.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of our friends and readers in the United States.
