Box office climbs to top of hill

Sony’s video game movie, Silent Hill, topped the weekend with $20.1 million in its opening frame, while the comedy Scary Movie 4 added another $16.8 million in its second week.

The Sentinel, which stars Michael Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland and Eva Longoria, opened with $14.3 million, while families added another $13.2 million to the haul of Ice Age: The Meltdown. Disney’s The Wild rounded out the top five with $8.3 million.
