SAG Auctions launch tomorrow with amazing items to bid on

Dec 09, 2010 by Ian Evans

Fans of the Screen Actors Guild Awards® will have a chance to bid on a veritable cornucopia of items in support of the SAG Foundation. Items include red carpet fan bleacher seats, autographed celebrity collectibles, sporting event tickets and what’s being described as “astounding experiences.”

The first of the three auctions kicks off tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 10, 2010. The Red Carpet Bleacher Seat auction runs from January 3-10, 2011 and the Ceremony auction that launches January 27-31 will feature one-of-a kind experiences and memorabilia.

All the auctions benefit the SAG Foundation to help make possible the Foundation’s public children’s literacy programs: BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools) and Storyline Online. The auction also supports Foundation programs providing emergency relief to SAG members in economic distress, video and audio preservation of the creative legacy of SAG members, scholarships for performers and their children, emergency funds for members with catastrophic illnesses and The Actor’s Center. You can find details on these great programs at www.sagfoundation.org and www.bookpals.net.

The Holiday auction opens this Friday, Dec. 10 at 9 a.m. PT at www.sagawards.org/auction. The auction will stay open for one week and close at 5 p.m, PT on Friday, Dec 17, 2010. The list of items is below and, we warned you, it’s a veritable cornucopia.
