Leo gets his Oscar

Feb 29, 2016 by Ian Evans

Apparently a great injustice was settled last night when Leonardo DiCaprio won an Oscar after five nominations. Never mind that Peter O’Toole’s only Oscar was an honorary one after eight winless Oscar nights. Leo was due.

So he won for The Revenant. The film’s director Alejandro González Iñárritu, took home the Directing Oscar. Meanwhile, Room’s Brie Larson won Best Actress and Best Picture went to Spotlight.

While people expected Supporting Actress Alicia Vikander to win for The Danish Girl, the Vegas money was on Sylvester Stallone to win Supporting Actor for Creed. Instead the Oscar went home with Mark Rylance for Bridge of Spies.
