The 37th People's Choice Awards (2011)

Welcome to DigitalHit's coverage of the 37th People's Choice Awards. The nominations were announced on November 9th, 2010, while the ceremony, hosted again by Queen Latifah, is taking place on January 5th, 2011. We'll have live coverage starting at 9 p.m. ET.

9:01 PM ET

Welcome to the People's Choice Awards, where all the winners know ahead of time and anyone acting surprised is acting. The ceremony starts off with host Queen Latifah singing.

9:04 PM ET

Jennifer Aniston is the first presenter of the night, presenting Favorite Comedic Star. And the People's Choice Award goes to Adam Sandler. Meanwhile, Aniston also announces that Grown-Ups has also won Favorite Comedy Movie. Which makes you question who's voting.

9:08 PM ET

Queen Latifah then shows a clip from her new flick with Vince Vaughn and Kevin James, Ron Howard's The Dilemma.

9:14 PM ET

Black Swan's Mila Kunis handing out Favorite Talk Show Host. And the People's Choice Award goes to Conan O'Brien. He jokes about his win displeasing Oprah and thanks his fans in North and South Korea.

Latifah introduces new dad Elton John. And the People's Choice Award goes to Taylor Swift. Taylor congratulates Elton on being a father and thanks the fans, of course, for her award.

9:25 PM ET

Caley Couco introduces a performance by Selan Gomez. Millions of angry Bieber fans throw stuff at their TVs hoping to hurt his new girl. After her performance, they hand her the trophy for Favorite Breakout Artist. She pretends to act emotional and surprised.

The audience now suffers through a long pre-taped bit.

9:38 PM ET

Kate Walsh and Taye Diggs are the evening's next presenters. They're presenting Favorite TV Comedy Actor and the winner is Neil Patrick Harris. Kate and Taye then present Favorite TV Comedy Actress And the People's Choice Award goes to Jane Lynch. As she heads to the stage so does Glee cast members Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer, seconds before they announce that Glee has won for TV comedy.

“Single Ladies” Devastation wins the People's Choice Award for Viral Video. Sadly, this is where we are in pop culture.

Emma Roberts and Zachary Levi present Favorite TV Drama Actress. And the People's Choice Award goes to Lisa Edelstein. They also announce that House has won. The ceremony is strting to get to me. I think my brain is trying to crawl out of my ear.

Taylor Swift presents Favorite Move Actor to Johnny Depp.

The Kardashians are on now. Nice to see people whose success comes solely from their sister's sex tape. Man, the writing of this segment is awful. And to choose this segement out of all the other bad ones means something.

Jim Parsons and Miranda Cosgrove stroll out next to present Favorite Movie Star Under 25. And the People's Choice Award goes to Zac Efron.

Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly introduce a performance by Kid Rock. The title doesn't matter because it sounds like 90% of the other songs he sings but with new words.

Malin Akerman and Stephen Moyer then present Favorite Movie Actress to Kristen Stewart. She makes about as much sense talking as she usually does.
