Still incredible

The Incredibles were, um, incredible in their second weekend taking in another $50.2 million and bringing their total box office to $143.2 million. The Pixar flick successfully held off the Tom Hanks vehicle, The Polar Express, which had a weekend take of $23.3 million ($30.6 million since its Wednesday opening).

The Pierce Brosnan/Salma Hayek caper flick, After the Sunset stole $11.1 million out of moviegoers’ pockets while the Seed of Chucky spawned a box office opening of $8.7 million.

The new RenĂ©e Zellweger/[textileRef:54883877166053a63862cd:linkStartMarker:“Hugh Grant”:/cr/hughgrant/]/Colin Firth comedy, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, rounded out the top 5 with an $8.6 million opening that just edged out Ray’s $8.4 million third week take.
