Can’t get enough Friends?
Since CBS is planning to pit Survivor II: The Australian Outback against NBC’s Friends during February sweeps, NBC has decided to try something new.
They’re planning supersized episodes of the popular sitcom, extending each show by about 4-6 minutes. The remaining 20 minutes of the 8-9pm hour will most likely be filled with special live primetime sketches featuring the cast of SNL.
Friends is also adding some special guest stars during February including Jason Alexander and Susan Sarandon. Of course the whopping contract signed by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox Arquette, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer only covers thirty minute episodes, so NBC is quickly negotiating a special extension.
