Actor Al Waxman dies

Toronto-born actor Al Waxman died from complications after heart bypass surgery early Thursday morning, a statement from his publicist said. Mr. Waxman was 65.

The veteran of stage, screen and TV played countless roles in a career that spanned 50 years. For Canadian audience he will always be remembered for the King of Kensington. U.S. audiences will remember him for the tough boss in Cagney & Lacey. Newer viewers will remember him as the judge from the CTV/PAX show Twice in a Lifetime.
