Two Ashton Kutcher films top box office

It’s not every day that my fingers type that not one, but two, Ashton Kutcher films have topped the box office but today’s that day.

Final North American box office figures for the weekend show that Open Season, the computer-animated flick where Kutcher voices a deer, topped B.O. with a haul of 23.6 million. Kutcher’s other opening, The Guardian with Kevin Costner, opened with $18 million.
opened with $18 million. The two Kutcher films sent last week’s numero uno, Jackass: Number Two, into third with $14.6 million.

The fourth spot was held by the debut of the Billy Bob Thornton/Jon Heder comedy, School for Scoundrels, which opened with $8.6 million. Jet Li’s Fearless rounded out the top five with $4.98 million.
