Kevin Smith not so silent about Southwest

As director/actor Kevin Smith will say, he’s “way fat” but not too fat to fly in a single seat. Yet he was tossed off a Southwest Airlines flight Oakland to Burbank on Sunday because an airline employee said he was too big for a single seat.

Smith hit Twitter and later made his case on a podcast called Go F—- Yourself, Southwest Airlines. Smith said he was able to get the armrests down and that the airline had humiliated him in front of a planeload of people.

In a blog posting titled Not So Silent Bob, the airline apologized to Smith but basically reiterated the armrest policy that Smith says didn’t apply to him.
