Evans Above
I think the technical term for this is EGADS! Please be patient as we curse and yell at a database mixup that deep sixed dozens of our database entries. We need to clean up or recreate them one by one. Should be fun...

Thank you
I called 411 today to get a number. When I thanked the operator, she seemed surprised and thanked me. Do people really find it so hard to say those two little words?

Blogging the Oscars
For the fifth straight year, we’ll be blogging the Oscars®, giving you minute-by-minute commentary and results from the backstage press room.
The press area is a blast. Jumbo shrimp, spring rolls, desserts, etc. Oh and we have to work too.

Off to the Spirit Awards
For the first time, DigitalHit.com has landed credentials to cover the Independent Spirit Awards which take place on the Santa Monica beach the day before the Oscars®.
What a juxtaposition: jeans in the press tent on one day, a tuxedo in the press room the next.

Freedom Fries
Jeremy points out that the US Congress has more important matters to feast on.
It’s kinda like the Dow…
As mentioned in our news section, we’re heading off to cover the Oscars. I’ve been spending the last day trying to find the best way to head from Toronto to LA.
It’s almost like watching CNBC. The prices rise and fall throughout the day. One minute you can get a non-stop flight for several hundred dollars cheaper, the next minute it’s cheaper to make two connections.
The sites are vastly different too. Flights that appear on Expedia.ca don’t appear on Travelocity.ca and Destina.ca has different options too. I guess that’s why you should never ask the person next to you how much they paid for their flight. You’ll either gloat or cry.

Tivo rocks
Call it a hunch, but I get the feeling that Dan really likes his Tivo. Wonder when Rogers cable will offer something like it in Toronto…

Would you like a DVD with that?
Here’s a neat marketing idea…
Starting January 31st, Twentieth Century Fox started attaching a Movie Buzz trailer and clips DVD to 85 oz. popcorn bags at select cinema chains. Talk about hitting your target market.

Joe ain’t over yet
It ain’t over yet.
You may think that Joe Millionaire is over, but we’ve got one more week of this stuff. One more week to find out if Evan and Zora stayed together. My guess is that Zora hightailed it with her $500,000 so that Evan could make time with Lauren Bush and the Hilton twits. The Discovery Channel’s excited though. Thanks to FOX finding Evan, we’ve finally found the missing link.
Did that show have to be a two-hour finale? I’ve seen less padding in a movie budget. Two hours and they still only had five seconds for “host” Alex McLeod.
Wasn’t it nice of FOX to bring Melissa back, so that Sarah coud have one more cancer stick with her witless friend? IQ marks go to Sarah for whispering some of her questions to Melissa. As if the guys in the control room wouldn’t play the tapes back at full blast to make out what she was saying. Didn’t she learn anything while making her fetish videos? The big question remains: did Sarah go south of the border with Evan?

Joe Millionaire: Todd Dominey says it so that I don’t have too.
