Queen Latifah introduces "Same Love" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Mary Lambert. During the song Queen Latifah officiates over 33 weddings. Madonna comes out to sing "Open Your Heart."

Ryan Seacrest and John Legend join NARAS president Neil Portnow to present the first Music Educator Award to Kent Knappenberger. Heraing his accomplishments, you have to take your hat off to him and those teachers who enrich students with music. Portnow then introduces Lang Lang to pay tribute to the late pianist, Van Cliburn. This segus into the In Memoriam segment.
