Eleven films to compete for Best Animated Feature

Eleven films have been deemed eligible to compete for the Best Animated Feature Film Oscar®. The list was compiled by the executive committee of the Short Films and Feature Animation branch of the Academy.

The films are:

  • Brother Bear
  • Finding Nemo
  • Jester Till (Till Eulenspiegel)
  • The Jungle Book 2
  • Looney Tunes: Back in Action
  • Millenium Actress
  • Piglet’s Big Movie
  • Pokèmon Heroes
  • Rugrats Go Wild!
  • Tokyo Godfathers
  • The Triplets of Belleville
The eligibility of three of the films, Jester Till (Till Eulenspiegel), Tokyo Godfathers and The Triplets of Belleville, is subject to their opening in Los Angeles prior to December 31. The Triplets of Belleville is scheduled to open November 21 and Jester Till (Till Eulenspiegel) and Tokyo Godfathers on December 5.
