Flightplan still flying high

Apparently Jessica Alba and a bikini couldn’t beat Jodie Foster and a boarding pass as Flightplan spent a second weekend atop the box office charts.

The airline thriller took in $15 million in its second frame, while Joss Whedon’s spacey flick Serenity was second with $10.1 million.

Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, which features the voices of Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, was in third with $9.7 million while it’s fellow Toronto Film Festival visitor, A History of Violence, took the fourth slot with $8.2 million.

Into the Blue, whose plot consists mainly of Jessica Alba adjusting her bikini bottoms, jiggled into fifth place with $7 million.
