Academy presents Hidden Figures/Modern Figures

The Academy Science and Technology Council will present Hidden Figures/Modern Figures: A Journey of Breakthroughs in Cinema and Space Travel,” in collaboration with NASA, on Wednesday, November 29, at 7:30pm at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

Attendees can look forward to a panel discussion with NASA scientists and Hidden Figures filmmakers for an examination of the past, present and future in space math, diversity and the movies. The event will be moderated by former Deluxe/EFILM Executive Beverly J. Wood and panelists include Fox 2000 president Elizabeth Gabler, Oscar®-nominated writer-director-producer Theodore Melfi, film editor Peter Teschner, cinematographer Mandy Walker, NASA chief historian Dr. Bill Barry and NASA engineers Tracy Drain, Jennifer Trosper and Powtawche Valerino.
