Bob Hope was once again the emcee of Hollywood’s big night as the Academy headed towards the 37th Annual Academy Awards on Monday, April 5, 1965.

The nominations were led by two big musicals, Mary Poppins with 13 nominations and My Fair Lady with 12. The historical drama Becket, with acting heavyweights Richard Burton, Peter O’Toole and John Gielgud, also had twelve Oscar® nods.
