As mentioned in the overview page, this year’s glitzy ceremony was cancelled due to the WGA strike and replaced by a press conference. Here is our commentary:

The first winner of the night is Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role – Motion Picture. And the Golden Globe goes to Cate Blanchett.

9:03 PM ET

The Best Original Song winner is “Guaranteed” from Into the Wild.

The next Award is Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture made for Television and it goes to Jeremy Piven from Entourage.

Now it’s time for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama. And the Golden Globe goes to Glenn Close for Damages.
