Matt and Ben start a dot-com

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, along with HBO and Miramax, have started a website contest to help an aspiring filmmaker.

The friends, whose Oscar®-winning Good Will Hunting script sent their careers into high orbit, will run a contest on Projectgreenlight.com.

Contestants can submit a screenplay online and along with other aspiring filmmakers help choose the winner. That script will receive a $1 million budget and a distribution deal from Miramax. Matt and Ben will serve as executive producers, and have not ruled out appearing in the project.
