Monsters rule for second week

According to weekend box estimates, Disney/Pixar’s animated comedy, Monsters, Inc. continues ruling the box office with a second week take of roughly $46.2 million. It will most likely be their last week in the top spot as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone debuts next week.

The Jack Black/Gwyneth Paltrow comedy Shallow Hal made it to second place with an estimated $23.2 million.

David Mamet’s latest Heist, which stars Danny De Vito and Gene Hackman debuted at number five with $8 million.
