Emmy nods shock some

Jul 06, 2006 by Ian Evans

The nominations for the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced today and some in Lalaland were shocked by the nods.

New rules have inserted a “blue ribbon” panel between the nomination ballots and the final results…think electoral college vs. popular vote.

The big shockers? None of the lead ladies from Desperate Housewives received an early morning phone call from their publicists, though Alfre Woodard did get a supporting nod. The Lost cast were shut out too, while the only member of The Sopranos to get a nod was Michael Imperioli.
